Schools are under increasing pressure to provide a 21st century home learning platform. Robert Halfon, Tory chairman of the Education Select Committee, has called for an online education strategy. He has asked education watchdog Ofsted and local authorities to work closely with schools to set “clear guidance” for online learning. Schools have been told they need a contingency plan in place by the end of September.
By now your school should have taken up the DfE's offer of a FREE home learning system. This is much more than a glorified homework platform and if correctly "rolled out" can give a massive boost to children's digital and literacy skills.
If you opted for Google Cloud, G-Suite for Education, you now have access to one of the most powerful, but easily accessible, home learning systems available today and it’s completely FREE.
This course is aimed at the complete novice who needs to learn the basics of G-Suite for Education and how to get started with Google Classroom. It covers your "Home Working Contingency Plan" (template provided), setting up your classroom, getting parents and guardians involved, top tips for blended learning (flipping your classroom) and much more.
Date / Price: to be announced (1/2 day) - if we can get over 15 candidates the price will be around £20
